FIBRE ART

I am self taught in the art of weaving and have been taking every opportunity to improve my skills and work on new designs and techniques over the past two years. Going forward, I would like to expand on my fibre sculpting work and bring textile elements into my mixed media pieces.

Sunflower

A combination of woven and knotted techniques, the Sunflower is part of a collection of wall hangings for a large scale interior mural.

Daisy

Another element of the mixed media mural, Daisy was constructed using a series of rya knots and woven techniques. I have secured commissions for several more flower sculptures after they proved popular on my instagram page. I also have new flower designs currently in development.

Corfiot Waters

Inspired the pink pebble beaches of Kassiopi in Corfu, this woven wall hanging is going to feature in a gallery wall alongside photographs with the same tones.

The colours were inspired by the inner city landscapes of Cuba and created as a commission for a hallway wall.

Medium circular woven tapestry.
A deep burn effect merino border and inner jewel tones.

Blue Crush Mirror

A prototype mirror for a larger scale project.
I enjoy blending colours in my fibre work and would like to see this design increase in size and function.
